Abstract
The nucleocapsid structures of Tacaribe virus, a member of the Arenaviridae, were purified from detergent-treated virus particles by equilibrium density gradient centrifugation. Negative-contrast electron microscopy indicated that they were coiled, circular filaments. They had a mean diam. of 5 to 10 nm and two predominant length classes of 640 nm and 1300 nm were found.Entities:
