Abstract
BACKGROUND: Intestinal schistosomiasis and soil-transmitted helminth (STH) infections constitute major public health problems in many parts of sub-Saharan Africa. In this study we examined the functional significance of such polyparasite infections in anemia and undernutrition in Rwandan individuals.Entities:

Anaemia was defined for all tables displayed (according to WHO guidelines), as Hb less than 11.5 g/dL for children from 5 to 11 years old and for children between 12 and 14 years old as Hb less than 12.0 g/dL. For individuals aged more than 14 years old, anaemia was defined as Hb less 12.0 g/dL for females and Hb less than 13.0 g/dL for males.
Percentages in this column denote percentages of anaemic within each specific subprofile classification/infection category.
Stunting was defined as height for age z-score (HAZ) less than -2.
Percentages in this column denote percentages of stunted within each specific subprofile classification/infection category.
Wasting was defined as body mass index z-score (BMIZ) less than -2.
Percentages in this column denote percentages of wasted within each specific subprofile classification/infection category.
