Abstract
Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) is the commonest endocrinopathy among women of reproductive age with an estimated prevalence of about 10%. Type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, endometrial cancer, breast cancer and ovarian cancer are some of the most important emerging issues regarding syndromes influence in womens future well being. The aim of this review is to provide clear and up to date information, based on clinical evidence, in order to advise clinicians about the late consequences of the syndrome.Entities:
