Abstract
AIM: The adiponutrin gene family consists of five genes (PNPLA1-5) coding for proteins with both lipolytic and lipogenic properties. PNPLA3 has previously been associated with adult obesity. Here we investigated the possible association between genetic variants in these genes and childhood and adolescent obesity. METHODS/Entities:

p-values are calculated using multiple regression including gender and age as covariates. SNP – Single nucleotide polymorphism. n – number of observations, β– Regression coefficient, p - p-value for t-statistic. f – fasting samples, BMI-SDS – Body Mass Index - Standard Deviation Score, HOMA-IR – homeostasis model of assessment - Insulin Resistance.
