Abstract
Many therapeutic drugs currently in use are cationic amphiphiles. These cationic amphiphilic drugs (CADs) induce phospholipidosis in humans and experimental animals. The recent study shows that CAD-induced cellular phospholipidosis is linked to the impairment of phospholipid catabolism by inhibition of lysosomal phospholipase A2 activity.Entities:
