Abstract
A series of 1-nitrobenzyloxybenzotriazoles was prepared by the benzylation of the respective halogenosubstituted 1-hydroxybenzotriazoles. The newly obtained compounds were tested against four Mycobacterium strains. Particularly high antimycobacterial activity, comparable with that of isoniazide, was found for 5,6-dichloro- 1-(3,5-dinitrobenzyloxy)- 1H-benzotriazole.Entities:
