Abstract
Urethral strictures represent a relevant problem, particularly among urological patients, since they can also develop in conjunction with endourological instrumentation. After functional and radiological diagnostics, the choice of an individualized treatment concept is foremost while taking into consideration minimally invasive endourological procedures and techniques of surgical reconstruction. The best long-term results for this disorder, which has a considerable tendency to recur, are achieved with open reconstructive methods whereas urethrotomy pursues a curative approach only in cases of short-segment bulbar urethral strictures without spongiofibrosis.Entities:
