Abstract
Delayed healing of chronic ulcers in patients with diabetes and infections resulting from percutaneous medical devices (e.g., vascular access catheters) not only plays a major role in morbidity and mortality, but is a major burden to our healthcare system. In this paper, we review models to study diabetic wound healing and the wound-healing response associated with implanted percutaneous implants.Entities:
