Abstract
Eukaryotic cells have developed multiple mechanisms to respond to different physiological cues, such as cellular stress, which allow the cells to adapt themselves to their new environment. The regulation of post-transcriptional gene expression is an important component of the cellular stress response and is mediated by mRNA binding proteins (mRBPs). Recently, several studies have shown that regulated subcellular localization of mRBPs upon diverse stimuli (such as cellular stress) provides an additional level of regulation for gene expression.Mesh:
