A pattern-oriented approach to chest radiographs in atypical pneumonia syndromes.

D A Lynch1, J D Armstrong.

Abstract

The differential diagnosis of the atypical pneumonia syndrome is facilitated by recognition of the chest radiographic pattern. Both infectious and noninfectious entities should be considered: clinical criteria may be used to exclude unlikely diseases and to construct an ordered list of possible causes.
