Abstract
Living kidney transplantation has become increasingly widespread to reduce organ shortage. Very few studies have prospectively investigated the donor's long-term risks. Living donation is a complex medical decision in which different actors are involved. This therapeutic option needs educational programs for potential donors, recipients, and transplant professionals to make them aware of the possible risks and benefits. It is important to fully exploit living-donor kidney transplantation.Entities:
