Abstract
Surgical removal of the salivary glands is a simple procedure aimed at providing glandular tissues for studies in histopathology, immunohistology, DNA and RNA analysis, cytokine production, and virus detection and isolation. This unit describes the surgical removal of the salivary glands in mice, but a similar protocol is applicable to rats and other rodents.Entities:
