Abstract
The DEAD-box protein Dbp5 was thought to remodel ribonucleoproteins and displace proteins from these complexes in an ATP-dependent fashion to allow for mRNA export from the nucleus. A recent study on Dbp5 shows, however, that its ADP-bound form may also perform an important function in displacing export factors from mRNA.Entities:
