Macrolide-antifol synergism in anti-Pneumocystis carinii therapeutics.

Abstract

The synergistic activities of anti-Pneumocystis drugs were investigated. Macrolide antibiotics alone and in combination with sulfonamides were tested for their effects on P. carinii pneumonia in rats.
