No link between left-handedness and maternal age and no elevated accident rate in left-handers.

M Peters1, R Perry.

Abstract

No significant link was found between maternal age and handedness of offspring for 154 left-handers and 560 right-handers. Questionnaire data on traffic accidents for 302 left-handers and 719 right-handers failed to support the claim that left-handers have an elevated risk for accidents.
