Afferent discharges from osmoreceptors in the liver of the guinea pig.

A Niijima1.

Abstract

Afferent activtiy from vagal nerve filament of guinea pig liver was recorded. Perfusion of liver by hypertonic solution caused an increase in firing rate. There may be osmoreceptors in the liver.
