A framework for the delivery of public health: an ecological approach.

The paper outlines the development of the framework and describes the significance behind the key constructs. The symbolisms within the picture and interactions between the varied components are compared with the dynamics of an ecosystem; this aims to emphasise that improving health occurs within a constantly changing and interactive environment. Finally, the applications of the framework are explored, including embedding public health within an organisation or setting, assisting in strategy development for specific topics and as a training and educational aid.
