Abstract
The thrombospondins are a family of proteins generated by alternative splicing and gene duplication, which contain binding sites for many soluble proteins and up to five cellular receptors. This family of modular proteins functions in regulation of cellular migration and proliferation as manifested in development, wound healing, angiogenesis and tumorigenesis.Mesh:
