Abstract
Abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAAs) are responsible for considerable morbidity, mortality, and cost to society. The pathogenesis of AAA formation, however, remains poorly understood. Animal models have been used in a range of experiments designed to provide further objective scientific assessment of the pathogenesis as well as the treatment of AAA. The purpose of this manuscript is to review the current models of AAA and their potential clinical implications.Entities:
