Abstract
We describe a 6-year-old boy with a granulomatous lesion on the upper aspect of his left arm. Fusarium solani infection was confirmed by biopsy studies and cultures. The biopsy specimen showed an unusually extensive dermal invasion with fungal hyphae. This is an uncommon clinical presentation for deep cutaneous infection caused by F solani in a healthy child. Local heat therapy with a chemical pocket warmer led to dramatic healing of the lesion.Entities:
