Abstract
Transcatheter embolotherapy (TCE), a common procedure for interventional radiologists, comprises transcatheter delivery of embolic agents into target vessels in order to eliminate lesions or lesion-associated symptoms. Good knowledge of delivery catheters and embolic agents is essential to optimize embolization techniques and to obtain the desired therapeutic outcomes. In this review, we describe the principles and techniques of TCE for peripheral arterial and venous lesions featuring visceral aneurysms, peripheral and pulmonary arteriovenous malformations (AVMs), and varicoceles.Entities:
