The electrophysiology of peripheral nerve injuries.

Abstract

Neurophysiologic tests currently used in the diagnosis and treatment of peripheral nerve trauma include EMG, NCV, late responses, SEPs, and intraoperative NAPs. The physiologic basis of these tests has been reviewed. Examples of typical applications have been provided. The interested reader is referred to the listed references for more detailed information.
