Abstract
Light affects the partitioning of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase between thylakoids and stroma in the chloroplast. Illumination of intact chloroplasts changes the ratio between bound and free enzyme from approximately 1:1 to 1:2. Treatment with NADPH, inorganic phosphate, or high pH also results in release of the enzyme from isolated thylakoids.Entities:
