Hemisection as an alternative treatment for vertically fractured mandibular molars.

Abstract

Hemisection of mandibular molars may be a viable treatment option when vertical root fracture has occurred and the other root is healthy. This article discusses a case that presents the techniques involved in hemisection and restoration of the remaining tooth root.
