Abstract
The treatment of hepatoblastoma is an example of the great advances made in paediatric oncology over the past few decades. Formerly a disease with a dreadful prognosis, children now have a 5-year survival rate of over 70%. This has been achieved by advances in surgical techniques and the use of chemotherapy. In future, we hope to be able to improve survival for children with high-risk tumours, and decrease the morbidity associated with treatment in the others.Entities:
