Abstract

[reaction: see text] A terpyridine scaffold has been designed as an alpha-helix mimetic. A facile synthesis of the ortho-functionalized 2,3'-oligopyridine has been accomplished using sequential Bohlmann-Rahtz heteroannulation reactions.
