Abstract
The E2F family of transcription factors is a central modulator of important cellular events, including cell cycle progression, apoptosis and DNA damage response. The role of E2F family members in various human malignancies is yet unclear and may provide vital clues to the diagnosis, prognosis and therapy of cancer patients. In this review we provide a brief but concise overview of E2F function and its putative role in the most common human tumour types.Entities:
