Abstract
Despite their therapeutic utility, children may experience emotional and behavioral side effects from steroids during treatment for leukemia. However, clinical manifestations and treatment options have rarely been described in the pediatric literature. The aim of this current paper is to address this knowledge gap via four brief case examples and a review of the literature. In addition, we review recent data to indicate how concurrent use of antifolates may place these children at particular risk for adverse psychological reactions.Entities:
