BACKGROUND: Gangrenous cholecystitis is a severe form of acute cholecystitis with high morbidity. This study investigate the outcomes for patients undergoing cholecystectomy for gangrenous cholecystitis in the decade before and after the introduction of laparoscopic technology at our institution.Entities:
