Abstract
The importance of the cell membrane in bacterial chromosomal replication continues to emerge. Recent advances include better definition of the biochemical interaction between membrane acidic phospholipids and the replication initiator, DnaA protein, the physiological impact that an altered membrane lipid composition has on chromosomal replication and the identification and characterization of recently identified membrane-associated proteins that regulate replication and participate in chromosomal segregation.Entities:
