[Studies on chemical constitutents in roots of Jasminum sambac].

Abstract

OBJECTIVE: To isolate and identify the chemical constitutents in roots of Jasminum sambac.
METHOD: The compounds were isolated by means of chromatography and the structures were identified on the basis of physical and spectral data. RESULT: Dotriacontanoic acid, dotriacontanol, oleanolic acid, daucosterol and hesperidin were elucidated.
CONCLUSION: All compounds were found in this plant for the first time.
