Abstract
A 44-year-old man with abdominal pain was diagnosed as having a spontaneous isolated dissection of the superior mesenteric artery. The patient was successfully treated with endoaneurysmorrhaphy 5 months after the onset and has been symptom free 15 months after surgery. In view of the excellent surgical outcome in the literature, surgical intervention for this rare pathology should be considered.Entities:
