Abstract
Kinetoplastid flagellates, and possibly other parasites and viruses, have evolved a novel form of gene regulation at different phases of their life cycle by 'editing' their own RNA transcripts. This article discusses the significance of the process and proposes a hypothesis to explain how it may be done.Year: 1989 PMID: 15463122 DOI: 10.1016/0169-4758(89)90211-1
