Spatial patterns in the abundance and distribution of parasites of freshwater fish.

R Hartvigsen1, O Halvorsen.

Abstract

It is not yet known whether the abundance and distribution of freshwater fish parasites form spatial patterns. Here, Rita Hartvigsen and Odd Halvorsen review the main approaches to the study of spatial patterns of these parasites, and propose an alternative approach based on meta-population theory and landscape ecology.
