Abstract
Over the past few years, the crucial role of Notch signaling in multiple stages of T-cell development has become apparent. Recent studies have helped to define more precisely the functions and components of the Notch signaling pathway in T-cell development, including during the T versus B fate decision and in early CD4(-)CD8(-)double-negative thymocytes. In addition, new evidence points to a requirement for Notch2 in the development of marginal zone B cells. Finally, recent studies have provided our first glimpse into the complex and paradoxical roles of Notch signaling in the activation and differentiation of mature T cells.Entities:
