A mixed-method study into quality of life for bladder cancer patients.

Denise Williams-Cox1.

Abstract

A diagnosis of cancer can come as a shock to patients, and the fear it engenders can have a powerful impact on quality of life, even if the prognosis is good. This research posed qualitative and quantitative questions to a group of patients, and revealed issues that might help nurses improve the way they care for and educate these patients to improve their quality of life.
