Abstract
Two-dimensional image processing techniques are used to create black and white illustrations from conventional z-buffer images. The illustrations appear to be composed of lines--outlines, contour lines, and hatched shading--but are calculated as grey-scale raster images. They have the advantage of faithful reproduction in publication and ease of display on workstations and laser printers. A FORTRAN source code is provided.Mesh:
