Abstract
In this case report, the technique of deep hypothermia and circulatory arrest (DHCA) is used to successfully extract extensive symptomatic tumor thrombus from the inferior vena cava (IVC) in two patients with osteosarcoma. This is the first description of the use of this modality for treatment of osteosarcoma involving the IVC. Osteosarcoma and the use of DHCA are discussed.Entities:
