Abstract
The huge influx of genomic sequence and new statistical methods is making the discovery of genes subjected to adaptive evolution increasingly common. The use of comparative genomics to identify adaptive evolution is resulting in predictions of functionally important genes and gene regions. However, the selective pressure driving the adaptive evolution of most genes remains mysterious.Mesh:
