Abstract
The etiology of acute pancreatitis is diverse, and unusual causes include several common viral infections. Although pancreatitis has been found at autopsy in patients with fulminant hepatic failure, there have been only a few reports of an association between mild to moderate acute viral hepatitis and acute pancreatitis. A case of acute hepatitis A complicated by acute pancreatitis is presented, and the relevant literature regarding this unusual association is reviewed.Entities:
