Abstract
Thymomas are normally found in the superior mediastinum or the upper part of the anterior mediastinum. We report a case of thymoma arising in the inferior aspect of the anterior mediastinum. This case illustrates that thymic tissue may be found low in the anterior mediastinum and supports the practice of a median sternotomy approach for thorough mediastinal exploration in all cases of thymectomy.Entities:
