Abstract
Antibodies have been raised in rabbits against plant ribosome-inactivating proteins (RIPs) and used to demonstrate cross-reactivity between RIPs from plants belonging to the same family, but little or no cross-reactivity between RIPs from taxonomically unrelated plants. When an immunotoxin consisting of saporin conjugated to bovine IgG was injected into rabbits, the animals formed antibodies against both saporin and bovine IgG.Entities:
