Abstract
Understanding the basis of specificity in an intermolecular interaction is a common if difficult task; designing a specific intermolecular interaction is much more challenging. A new technique is described that has applications to both problems, at least with regard to nucleic acids. The power of this method lies in its ability to isolate extremely rare sequences with precisely specified properties from very large pools of random sequences.Mesh:
