Abstract
Quantitative assays of oxytocic drugs were performed on the postpartum human uterus by means of external tocography. Since, owing to the rapid involution of the uterus, only two doses could be given to each patient, the assays were designed as incomplete randomized blocks of 2. A dose/response curve for ergometrine was established, and a comparative assay of ergometrine and methly ergometrine carried out, the design and analysis of which is described in detail.Entities:
