Abstract
A novel bicyclic ketolide derivative, 10,11-didehydro-11-deoxy-3-O-descladinosyl-6-O-methyl-3-oxo-8,9-anhydroerythromycin 9,12-hemiacetal(6) was obtained from 3-O-descladinosyl-6-O-methylerythromycin 2'-acetate. The structure and stereochemistry of this novel compound were elucidated and established by NMR and X-ray crystallography.Entities:
