Abstract
Breast reconstruction after mastectomy has become an integral part of breast cancer treatment. The main objective of this technique is to improve women's quality of life: for this reason, its prospective evaluation has become essential. A critical review of technique has been carried out. Immediate breast reconstruction is oncologically safe for ductal carcinoma in situ. Its limits are aesthetic in case of postoperative radiation and psychological for patients who won't benefit from it. The difficulty to grasp the personality of these women requires exhaustive technical information. Time to reconstruct is moving from delayed to immediate. New anatomical implant safety will make the indication of protheses and autologous flaps easier.Entities:
