Abstract
Sherwood and Greenhalgh's 1960 paper is a seminal one for the development of the science of human exposure. There are three key elements in the paper that deserve to be highlighted: the development of the first personal sampling pump and sampling head; the first comparison between personal sampling and static sampling; the first observation of the possible effect of personal sampling on the individual being sampled.Entities:
