Abstract
It is over 40 years since anti-dsDNA antibodies were first described in patients with lupus. A wide variety of methods for detecting these immunoglobulins have been established. In this review, we consider the utility and practical problems that the main assays present. The clinical correlations between anti-dsDNA antibodies and clinical activity in patients with lupus is discussed.Entities:
