Abstract
An overview of methods based on enzyme inhibition is presented. Both biosensors and biosensing systems (implemented in continuous and discontinuous approaches) are considered. The aim of the overview is to alert users on the use of these devices which, despite they can involve selective biocatalysts, the inhibition effect is not selective.
