Abstract
This paper describes the development of clinical improvement teams in a multi-disciplinary acute health care setting. The process included an information-gathering phase that enabled a match of team structure and leadership to staff skills and experience. It was found that an environment that supported collaborative practice and shared decision-making was critical to staff support of the teams and the outcomes achieved.Mesh:
